چکیده

UNLABELLED : Commonly used multiplicity adjustments fail to control the error rate for reported findings in many expression quantitative trait loci (eQTL) studies. TreeQTL implements a hierarchical multiple testing procedure which allows control of appropriate error rates defined relative to a grouping of the eQTL hypotheses. AVAILABILITY AND IMPLEMENTATION The R package TreeQTL is available for download at http://bioinformatics.org/treeqtl CONTACT [email protected] SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION Supplementary data are available at Bioinformatics online.

Trajectory tracking of under-actuated nonlinear dynamic robots: Adaptive fuzzy hierarchical terminal sliding-mode control

In recent years, underactuated nonlinear dynamic systems trajectory tracking, such as space robots and manipulators with structural flexibility, has become a major field of interest due to the complexity and high computational load of these systems. Hierarchical sliding mode control has been investigated recently for these systems; however, the instability phenomena will possibly occur, especia...

Using eQTL weights to improve power for genome-wide association studies: a genetic study of childhood asthma

Increasing evidence suggests that single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) associated with complex traits are more likely to be expression quantitative trait loci (eQTLs). Incorporating eQTL information hence has potential to increase power of genome-wide association studies (GWAS). In this paper, we propose using eQTL weights as prior information in SNP based association tests to improve test po...

From QTL Mapping to eQTL Analysis

Genetic loci that affect mRNA expression levels of other genes are referred to as expression quantitative trait loci (eQTL). Discovering eQTLs by combining gene expression data with genetic marker data is an important means to understand gene regulation and to study disease mechanisms. EQTL mapping has been studied in many species, e.g., yeast [1, 2], eucalyptus [3], mice [4–6], rats [7], and h...

Bayesian detection of expression quantitative trait loci hot spots.

High-throughput genomics allows genome-wide quantification of gene expression levels in tissues and cell types and, when combined with sequence variation data, permits the identification of genetic control points of expression (expression QTL or eQTL). Clusters of eQTL influenced by single genetic polymorphisms can inform on hotspots of regulation of pathways and networks, although very few hot...

Robust Linear Models for Cis-eQTL Analysis

Expression Quantitative Trait Loci (eQTL) analysis enables characterisation of functional genetic variation influencing expression levels of individual genes. In outbread populations, including humans, eQTLs are commonly analysed using the conventional linear model, adjusting for relevant covariates, assuming an allelic dosage model and a Gaussian error term. However, gene expression data gener...
